Emily Sarah Smitheram is a jewellery maker from Falmouth, Cornwall. In 2019 she graduated with a Degree in Contemporary Jewellery Design at UCA Rochester.

Her fashion jewellery is inspired by movement and light. The limited collections are hand crafted from recycled silver. Emily works with signature abstract surface design brings the jewellery pieces to life as you move, reflecting light in all directions.

Emily also creates Contemporary Jewellery pieces and video installations. She uses imagery of her cultural memory (photographs and film taken from everyday life such as walking, reading and eating) with the intention to stir memories within the viewer. Intersubjective qualities of jewellery can open dialogue between people, Emily uses jewellery as a platform to navigate theories around memory and experience. As jewellery has lived alongside human experience for millennia; it already plays a large part in remembering the past.
